The PTWS 1220 is a 6+6 position, single drive tablet dissolution testing instrument for solid dosage forms as described in USP chapter <711/724> and EP section<2.9.3/4> as well as the DAB/BP and Japanese Pharmacopeia section <15>. The instrument features two additional vessels (approx. 250ml) for media refilling and reference standard media. 14+2 "Dual Drive" Tablet Dissolution Testing

The PTWS 1420 is a 14+2-position, “dual drive” compact tablet dissolution testing instrument for solid dosage forms as described in USP chapter <711/724> and EP section<2.9.3/4> as well as the BP, DAB and Japanese Pharmacopeia section <15>. The instrument features 14 testing positions and includes two additional standard size vessels for media refilling and reference standard media. PTWS 1420 features independent stirrer speed control for the left and right half of stirrers.

PTWS 820-MA

8-Position Tablet Dissolution Testing with Media Addition Station

The Pharma Test media addition station PTWS 820-MA together with the PTWS 820D tablet dissolution testing instrument can be used to perform the automated media half change for delayed release dosage forms. The operation is performing according to the requirements from USP <711>, EP <2.9.3> and CP <931> for delayed release dosage forms (in CP, enteric coated dosage forms). The test will start with 750ml of 0.1N HCl. After 2 hours, 250ml of concentrated, pre-heated buffer solution will be dosed quickly into the dissolution vessels. The pH will change to 6.8 and the dosage form should then start to dissolve.

PT-DR

Release Apparatus for Nano- and Microformulations

The Dispersion Releaser PT-DR is a dialysis-based apparatus for the release testing of nanomedicines, microformulations and semi-solid dosage forms within a standard dissolution tester. It is composed of a sample holder cell serving as the donor compartment for dispersed dosage forms. A dialysis membrane is disposed around this housing. This donor chamber is agitated by a paddle stirrer that is connected to the USP Apparatus 2.

PTWS 4000

Large volume dissolution testing

PTWS 4000 is the only tablet dissolution testing instrument available to support vessel sizes up to 4 liters for pool test applications of highly concentrated samples. PTWS 4000 contains six stirred glass vessels with a volume of approx. 4 liters each in a single row in the front side of the instrument. Furthermore, it offers two additional, unstirred 1 liter vessels to take a blank and/or a reference standard in a second row on the back side of the instrument. PTWS 4000 is fully compliant to the current USP <711/724> and EP <2.9.3/4> pharmacopeia.

The offline DFC systems include a fraction collector or an auto sampler which will collect the sampled dissolution media. The semi-automated DFC-120SP system is composed of a PTWS 120D or PTWS 120S staggered stirrer start dissolution bath with built-in individual vessel centering, full tubing installation in PTFE including in-situ sampling probes, a PT-SP8 syringe pump, and a PTFC-2/8 fraction collector. In this configuration the sampling probes are always immersed into the media (in-situ). This procedure is widely used.

PT-DDS4

Media Preparation and Degassing System

Media degasing or “de-aeration”, pre-heating to a temperature of 37°C and absolutely precise gravimetric dispensing according to the recommendations and demanded for dissolution testing from the US FDA authorities are standard for the Pharma Test PT-DDS4 media preparation and degasing system. De-aeration is generally recommended to prevent the formation of bubbles on the dosage form surface, which may cause a variation in active dissolution rates, by virtue of surface obscuration.

PT-SP

Precise Multi Syringe Pump

The PT-SP multi-syringe pump is designed specifically for parallel sample withdrawal and dosage of media from a dissolution bath into open vials inside a fraction collector. It is equipped with up to 8 replaceable 10ml high precision glass syringes. Each syringe is connected to a 3-way pinch valve for media flow control. The drive of the syringes is carried out simultaneously by a stepper motor. All syringes are rigidly connected to the common sturdy drive bar.

DSR-M

Dissolution Sampling Robot

The DSR-M dissolution sampling robot is designed specifically for the sample transfer and sample processing from a six to twelve vessel dissolution bath. This unique versatile instrument allows samples to be collected over very short time intervals. The DSR-M can be equipped to collect, dilute or process samples for following UV-Visible or HPLC measurements. It can also be used for dissolution medium replenishment to conform to USP/EP volume loss rules.
