Disintegration Basket for Orodispersible Films
Orodispersible films (ODF) are a novel dosage form. Since 2012, they are monographed in European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur. 7.4). Despite the fact that there are several film products available on the market, there has been no specific test method defined to characterize this dosage form.

suppository and pessaries disintegration tester
The PTS 3E Suppository and Pessaries Disintegration Tester is designed and manufactured
in compliance to the EP monograph <2.9.2.1/2.9.2.2> and the German DAB Pharmacopoeia.
The PTS 3E is used for the manual measurement of suppositories and pessaries
disintegration times.

suppository penetration test assembly
The SPT-6 Suppository Penetration Test assembly is used to determine the softening time of six samples at the same time. It is connected to a Pharma Test PTZ AUTO or PTZ-S tablet disintegration test instrument. The SPT-6 assembly can also be immersed into a suitable water bath. The SPT-6 is made in strict compliance with EP <2.9.22> Apparatus <A>. The assembly is placed into its own single position Plexiglas water bath. This way it is possible to use the SPT-6 in either a PTZ AUTO 1-4, PTZ AUTO 1EZ-4EZ or a PTZ-S tablet disintegration test instrument.

Suppository Dissolution Test Cell
The PTSW-0 Suppository Dissolution Test Cell (Rotating Dialysis Cell) is placed into a standard USP type dissolution vessel which in turn is inserted into a standard tablet dissolution testing instrument to test the rate of dissolved active of suppositories and lipophilic carriers.

4-in-1 Tablet Hardness Tester
The automated tablet testing instrument PTB 420 is a dual test mode instrument to determine the diameter, thickness and hardness of tablets. The instrument is made in strict compliance with the EP <2.9.8> and USP <1217> Pharmacopoeia.

4-in-1 Tablet Hardness Tester
The fully automated 4-in-1 tablet testing instrument PTB 420 Auto is a dual test mode instrument to determine the weight, diameter, thickness and hardness of tablets. The instrument is made in strict compliance with the EP <2.9.8> and USP <1217> Pharmacopoeia.

4 in 1 tablet hardness testing with multi-batch feeding
Test weight, thickness (or height), diameter (or length), and hardness of regular tablets, odd shaped tablets (caplets, oblongs etc.) and other solid samples fully automatically. Use the WHT 3ME for the fully automated testing of single tablet critical parameters including weight (in compliance to the European and German Pharmacopoeia for uniformity of mass), thickness, diameter and the tablet hardness also according to the European EP <2.9.8> and USP <1217> Pharmacopoeia.

ampoule breakpoint tester
The PTBA 211E ampoule breakpoint tester is designed and manufactured in compliance to the DIN EN ISO <9187-1/2:2010> standard. According to this standard the break point of ampoules has to be tested to control the quality during production of empty ampoules and prior to the filling process.

Tapped Density and Apparent Density Testing
The PT-TD300 is used to test the tapped (or “tamped”) density and apparent density of powders, granules, pigments and similar products in compliance with the current USP <616> methods 1 and methods 2 as well as with EP <2.9.34>, DIN EN ISO 787-11 and ASTM B527. The instrument automatically calculates the tapped density, Hausner flowability ratio and Carr compressibility index after each test and documents the results via the integrated protocol printer.

Automated Powder Flow Analyzer
The PTG-S4 automated powder flow analyzer is used to measure the flow behavior of granules and powders in compliance with the EP <2.9.36>, USP <1174> Pharmacopoeia and ISO 4324 standards. This instrument determines the powder flow time, the powder cone angle of the collected powder mound, the weight, the density and the volume of the powder cone. Furthermore the EP “flowability” result is calculated by measuring the flow time of 100g of sample through a specified pouring nozzle.

The Power Couple for Powder Flow Analysis
The PTG-NIR automatic powder and granule analysis system combines the Pharma Test PTG-S5 powder flow testing instrument with an integrated J&M TIDAS L NIR diode array spectrometer.
